ERS Annual Enrollment - Health Insurance
Plan Year FY2024
The Consumer Directed HealthSelect plan is made up of two parts:
- High-Deductible Health Plan: Covers preventive services at 100% but carries higher deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums than the regular HealthSelect plan.
- Health Savings Account: Allows you to put tax-free funds aside for medical expenses.
Premium contribution rates for the Consumer Directed Health Select portion of the plan will be as follows:

Health Savings Account (HSA)
Please note that the "State Pays" contribution includes an HSA payment into a tax-free savings account for your use for qualifying health expenses. In addition to the state contribution, you can have pre-tax money from your paycheck put into your HSA, lowering your overall tax burden.
You can receive the "State Pays" contribution if you are:
- enrolled in Consumer Directed HealthSelect,
- eligible for a poriton of your health premium to be paid by the state, and
- not eligible for Medicare.
