Financial Aid - Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Medicinal Chemistry
Financial Aid for Graduate Students
NOTE: As of Sept. 30, 2021, the Financial Aid policies described below apply to all current and future/incoming students.
All PPS students are supported by graduate assistantships: Research, Teaching or Instructional. The type of assistantship depends upon the availability of grant funding from advisors, the student’s interest in teaching and English language proficiency, and the instructional needs of the Pharm.D. professional program.
The stipend is $27,935.92 per year. For those not covered by parent or spouse, student health insurance costs $2,811. All other UH mandatory fees and tuition are paid by the Graduate Tuition Fellowship, leaving a net income of $25,124.92.
Keeping an assistantship requires a GPA of 3.0 (4.0=A), and students may shift from Research to Teaching Assistant or back as needs, circumstances and funds availability dictate.
