Different types of artist calls happen throughout the season for UH students, faculty members, alumni and the general public!
Visiting artists often work with UH students in any program and level, from freshmen to doctoral candidates, and even the general public. Each visiting artist has a unique interdisciplinary focus and the creative experiences shared with them are transformative. Visiting artist opportunities will appear below when they are available. Any student from the main University of Houston campus is encouraged to apply.
Artist Calls for the Mitchell Center's Convergence Research Program occur throughout the academic year. Any McGovern College of the Arts student, faculty member, or alumni wishing to investigate interdisciplinary concepts or create collaborations can apply to Convergence Research as a space in which to test or present their work, in any phase of development, to a live audience.
