UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Academic advising

Every undergraduate student in the College of Education is assigned an advisor. Find your advisor’s schedule and make an appointment.

Extra support

The College offers mentoring, tutoring, a food pantry and other services through our PEEPS support program. Call student success coach Laura Lee at 713-743-5043 to make an appointment, or stop by Farish Hall Room 160.

Academic advising

All master’s students are assigned a staff advisor, available for in-person, phone or email appointments. Doctoral students are connected with faculty advisors.

Scholars from the College will present their research findings on autism, stress and trauma, ADHD, and other important topics related to mental health and learning at the 2024 American Psychological Association Convention.
Top Spring Graduates Give Advice Amid Challenges
Staying organized and creating a support system rank among the top tips for undergraduates. “Your major is something you must be passionate about because without that passion, there is no resilience, and when there is no resilience, there is no success,” said Leslie Zuleith Benavidez.
Award-Winning Student Researchers Share Lessons Learned
The 2023 Research Symposium hosted by the College’s Department of Psychological, Health, & Learning Sciences gives students an “amazing experience,” said award winner Wilmer Lugo (left), whose research focused on smoking among Latino men.
Internships Gave UH Students an Edge in High-Tech Tools
The program, which involved students in the learning, design and technology graduate program, was supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. “The internship prepared me for success,” said Kathryn Seastrand.
