The Dart Center provides disability-related accommodation services for sign language interpreters and captionists to University of Houston students. If you would like to request services, or you receive a request from a student, follow these guidelines.

• You will be asked to provide demographic information such as your email address, position, department and information about the event.
• The Dart Center requires three business days' notice to fill requests. We will work to fulfill requests with less notice, but they cannot be guaranteed.
  • Requests submitted on the weekend, a holiday or university closure, will be responded to the next business day.
• Some events require significant preparation time for our providers. For these services, a request must be submitted a minimum of one week in advance. Events requiring this notice include, but are not limited to:
  • Musical, acting, or poetry performances
  • Large university-wide events
  • Scripted events
• Please send any PowerPoints, scripts, agendas, programs, videos, and schedules related to the event at the time of your request.
