Randall Griffin (Clarinet [PT]) received his MM in Applied Clarinet from the Shepherd School of Music, Rice University and his BM in Musicology and Applied Clarinet from Sam Houston State University. He also studied on a Rotary Graduate Fellowship at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich, Germany. He has held the position of Principal Clarinet with the Houston Ballet Orchestra since 1989. He has also performed as acting Associate Principal with the Houston Symphony Orchestra and Principal Clarinet with the Orquesta Sinfonica Municipal de Caracas, Venezuela. He has appeared as soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe, South America, Canada, Mexico and the U.S. He continues to serve as an active clinician and clarinet instructor.
