In K-12 schools, French teachers are in high demand across programs, including AP French, IB French, and French as a World Language. 

Critical shortage: According to the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), at least 49 of 56 U.S. states and territories experienced shortages in teachers qualified to teach World Languages and Bilingual Education in 2017-18. By 2025, there could be a hiring gap of 100,000 teachers annually nationwide.
