CTAP by the Numbers
CTAP : An Equitable Access Program
The Value of Equitable Access Programs
What is an equitable access course material program? Programs such as the Cougar Textbook Access Program (CTAP) at University of Houston provide undergraduate students access to required course materials before the first day of class for one low flat fee, regardless of major or hours enrolled. Students can opt out per semester and all students, regardless of whether they choose to opt out or participate in the program, receive access to their digital course materials before the first class day in the university’s learning management system. Students can apply financial aid to the fee.
Savings
UH Undergraduate Students saved $5 million on course materials in the first semester in CTAP, over the cost of the retail price.
